Crown of thorns feels the needle

A NEW weapon in the war against crown of thorn starfish is helping divers wipe out infestations of the coral predators in tourist hot spots throughout the Great Barrier Reef.
Divers were yesterday preparing to leave for their second trip using bile salts, a new poison of whicha single injection can kill up to 300 of the coral-consuming creatures in one hour. Read more
